You can find more information at the new support forum
http://www.dalibor.cz/support
- Version 2.40 - 16.6.2005
- Small changes for compatibility with Photoshop CS2
- Version 2.30 - 4.4.2005
- Support for DiMAGE A200 and Dynax/Maxxum 7D was finalized
- MRWFormat is compatible with Photoshop Elements 3
- CCIndex slider was enabled
- Pictures from 7D are autorotated properly (if orientation sensor was enabled in camera menu)
- Version 2.10 - 7.10.2004
- The User
Guide was rewritten to accommodate all the features of this version.
- It is possible to override "factory defaults". When you create and save
a preset named "Default",
then this preset will be automatically loaded when you click Reset (Alt+Cancel).
So you can store your favorite setting in this preset and it will define your
own default settings.
This preset is used as well at every start of the plug-in, if you have enabled
the option "Set parameters to default at start" in Preferences.
- Support for Dynax 7D was added. It is possible to process the raw files from
the new camera.
However the support for 7D is not complete: ICC profile for 7D is missing,
Info window does not show the MakerNote contents and the name of the camera
white balance is unknown.
- Exposure Max button now does ignore small amount of the pixels with the
highest values.
This means that when there are some hot pixels present in the image then the
setting of exposure is not affected by them.
- Highlights Warning Post function does work correct now as it was working in
version 1.x
Minor changes:
- Info dialog rearranged slightly as some text were truncated in PS CS
(Windows)
- "Set defaults" wan removed from Preset menu - it is no longer necessary
- "Autosave parameters in selected preset after clicking Open" was removed
from Preferences
- Bugfix: When ColorSpace was set to None, then A1 profile was attached to A2
pictures.
- Bugfix: About dialog should be displayed all the time (again)
- Bugfix: Thumbnails in Browser could be generated with Highlights Warning Pre
enabled
- Version 2.02 - 24.8.2004
- The first release of version 2 for MacOS X
- Changes in the Preset logic were forced by problems discovered when
porting the plug-in on Mac:
"Last Used" preset was removed, you can delete it from the Presets menu. When
the plug-in starts the last settings used are loaded.
But you can select in Preferences that you want to start with "factory"
defaults. No preset from the Presets menu is activated at this moment.
You can load any presets from the Presets menu after start.
When you click Reset (Alt+Cancel) then the "factory" defaults is used and
currently selected preset is deselected.
- Enter and ESC keys work like OK and Cancel buttons (Windows)
- The order of the items was corrected so the focus is moved correctly when
Tab key is pressed (Windows)
- Keyboard shortcuts + and - for resizing the preview work only with Ctrl or
Alt pressed on Windows as it was not possible to enter minus sign into edit
box
- Bugfix: HighlightsWarninPost checkbox state was not set-up correctly at the
plug-in's start
- Bugfix: Keyboard shortcut M was not updating the state of ColorManage
checkbox
- Bugfix: Info window does change the position when the preview window size is
changed by + or - or by rotation
- Bugfix: When the Info window was closed by using the X in the corner the
text on the Info button was not updated (Mac)
- Bugfix: About dialog should really appear anytime now (Windows)
- Version 2.00 - 4.8.2004 - Windows only at
this moment
- Preview is color managed - What you see in preview is the same what you
will get in Photoshop.
- Rotation of images - You can either rotate in MRWFormat or use Dalifer to
pre-rotate you .mrw files. The rotation applied in Photoshop CS Browser is
respected.
- New preview sizes 1/3, 1/6, 1/12 and 1/12 - Some of the preview sizes are
not accessible by dialog buttons, but you can use keys + and - to select them.
- Log file - The processing of every .mrw file is logged into the text file
together with all the parameters, date&time, processing time and version of
plug-in.
- Histogram is colored
- Conversion to standard monitor space - The users of Photoshop Elements can
convert the image to the color space similar to sRGB to overcome the lack of
advanced color management functions in Photoshop Elements.
- EXIF tag DateTimeDigitized is set to the time when you have processed the
image. After all this is the intended use of this tag. So you will keep the
information when you have processed your digital negative. The tag
DataTimeOriginal is left unchanged of course.
- There is a new preset called "Last Used" which contains the settings used to
process the previous image.
- Some improvements in the precision of internal calculations.
- Exposure Max button does work even when the Preview is not displayed.
- There are exclamation marks displayed in the title bar of the preview
window, following the pixel values, in case that the color of the pixel is
clipped.
- Highlights warning (post) is automatically switched off when Color Manage is
enabled because it was meaningless in this mode anyway.
- Bugfix: Thumbnails generated from mrw in browser are generated using default
preset (the last used preset was in effect before, producing strange effects
sometimes)
- Bugfix: Fixed a memory leak during thumbnail generation
- Bugfix: Reset in Presets menu was not resetting the active edit box
- Bugfix: 16bit pixel values displayed in preview's title bar were overflowing
sometimes
- Bugfix: The threshold for Highlights fix was improved
- Bugfix: About dialog was not showing sometimes. Now is should be OK in PS7
and 6, but still there are some problems in PSCS.
- Version 1.60 - 2.5.2004
Highlights Fix feature was added. It prevents the
change of the color in the clipped areas when reducing exposure (magenta
highlights problem). The values displayed in the title
bar of the preview window have changed. Those values are displayed when you
click inside the preview. They are in the format (Rraw, Graw, Braw) -> (R,
G, B), followed by (R16, B16, G16) in case of 48 bits processing.
Rraw, Graw, Braw are the original values read from .mrw
file, range 0-4095. The following values show the color of the processed
pixel, range 0-255 and 0-65535. There is an exclamation mark following the value displayed in case of
clipping. The values are no longer affected by Highlights Warning (pre).
There is a new
keyboard shortcut for Highlight Fix
(key F). There is an additional shortcut for Highlights Warning Pre (both
W and H
keys) Focus Area checkbox was moved into
Preferences dialog (to make space for Highlights fix)
Bugfix: The
Alt+Cancel works a Reset again (this was broken in 1.53)
- Version 1.53 - 6.4.2004
Added keyboard shortcuts for some often used actions (H,
P,
I in the main dialog and S in Preferences dialog) MacOS X: the Enter, Return and ESC keys should be handled without problems now MacOS X: the .ini file is now stored in user's Preferences folder to conform
with Apple standards. (Note that if you upgrade you should move the old .ini file to the new
location. More information is
here)
- Version 1.52 - 19.3.2004
The first MacOS X version with A2 support (and all the new features
introduced in Windows version 1.40 and 1.50). The DEMO version processes the center part of the image.
- Version 1.51 - 11.3.2004 - Windows only version
Bugfix: If your default preset was using custom balance then the plug-in has
opened with black only preview until you have changed the white balance to
something else
- Version 1.50 - 6.3.2004 - Windows only version
A2 support added (including ColorSpace and ICC profile) Bug fix in the position of the red Focus Area square Preferences: plug-in reacts on some changes immediately and shadows/highlights
number increment works now A dialog box is displayed in the DEMO version to notify the users that they
are running the demo
- Version 1.40 - 29.1.2004 - Windows only version
User interface was redesigned. It looks nicer, it fits on smaller screens
and it displays correctly in Photoshop CS. Temp slider is now working. You can fine tune the color temperature after
neutralizing the image. White balance presets list was added. You can add as many white balance
presets as you want and name it. New Presets menu. It allows to store named presets for all the sliders and
recall them fast and easy. New Preferences dialog. You no longer have to edit .ini file by hand and you
can tweak the plug-in's behaviour in user friendly way Thumbnails in Browser are generated much faster way. I have measured that I
generate thumbnails six times faster then CameraRaw Plug-in saves its setting into .ini file so they are not lost. New DIVU +-5 contrast curves Some bug fixes (ICC profile should not crash Photoshop anymore, Flex Focus
area is displayed correctly for A1)
- Version 1.32 - 16.11.2003
I have added the ICC profile for DiMAGE A1. It is based on the profile
supplied with DIVU and modified according to Jeff Yigdall's 7i profile. The
profile is attached for all A1 pictures when ColorSpace is set to Default or
None or A1 (in this case it will be attached to pictures taken with other
models as well). I think that this profile is little bit more saturated then
the 7Hi profile was, I suppose that many users will like it this way. Adding A1 profile of course means that in more ColorSpace=None is attached
either 7i/7Hi profile or A1 profile according to the origin of the picture. MRWFormat now has higher priority that Adobe Camera Raw. This means that
Minolta images will open in MRWFormat even if Adobe Camera Raw is installed or
if you are running Adobe Photoshop CS. All other raw formats will open in
Adobe Camera Raw. Thanks for the tip to
Thomas Knoll. Mac version: I have fixed a bug which left sliders uninitialized after
switching Contrast from DIVU to Precise, or when ColorSpace was switched to
None and back.
- Version 1.31 - 8.11.2003
The first MacOS X version with A1 support. I have added some A1 related information from MakerNote into Info window (DataImprint,
Antishake, NoiseReduction, FlashMetering, WhiteBalance, DriveMode, ...)
Unfortunately the A1 firmware is very buggy and sometimes it records bogus
information into MakerNote. Especially it is not easy to find out the kind of
bracketing (exposure vs. effect). The other problem is that if you use File
Number Memory and DataImprint then the number of the picture stored inside the
EXIF is different to file name. I have resized the red box showing FocusArea to fill the whole preview
area correctly. Also there is a new workaround for A1 firmware as it does not
store the SubjectArea inside EXIF correctly. Therefore the FocusArea in
previous version was displayed in wrong regions. There are 11 focusing zones
used with A1 and I have tried to position the red box correctly (if you feel
that some of them are wrong please let me know). PC version: there is a build number showing in About dialog now. Mac version: unfortunately there was some change in Carbon library in MacOS
X 10.3. This change has caused that the previous MRWFormat version does no
longer properly work in MacOS X 10.3. The problem is that the Preview and Info
window are not accepting any mouse clicks. To solve this problem I had to
change the type of the windows used to display Preview and Info. Unfortunately
this means that the Preview window has no longer the title bar where the RGB
values were displayed. I hope you will not miss the RGB values. If you feel
that you want them back then please let me know and I try to find out some way
of displaying them.
- Version 1.30 - 30.9.2003
A partial support for A1. This version can read the new packed RAW format
used by A1. But not all features of A1 are supported yet (ICC profile,
MakerNote information in Info window, white balance presets).
User Guide was rewritten to
English language by Wil Smith (revision 1.4).
- Version 1.22 - 18.8.2003
This is the first version for MacOS X.
User Guide slightly updated
to revision 1.3. The cursor now change to eye-dropper, zoom-in, zoom-out and hand icon in
preview window. Neutralization is possible using Ctrl+click or Alt+click To zoom out interpolation preview you can use Shift+click or Alt+click I have removed the beeping while clicking on preview window as it was
disturbing Fixed: When periodically disabling/enabling Extra Size or when switching back
and forward between two interpolations the interpolation preview was slowly
moving to one side I will register the plug-in on
http://www.versiontracker.com/ so you could be notified about updates.
- Version 1.21 - 16.7.2003
Plug-in didn't remember "Variable Number of gradients (DJ)"; "None" was
set for the next opened file
- Version 1.2 - 5.6.2003
User Guide slightly updated
to revision 1.2. With a help of Gordon Chau I have changed the ICC profile attached in
D7i/D7Hi mode. Now I use Jeff Yigdall's modified DiMAGE 7i_rprof.icc
The colors are more saturated and much more precise. Gordon even recommends to
all D5/D7/D7u users to use D7i/D7Hi mode, as he believes it produces better
results. I have redesigned the vertical dialog a little bit to fit on 1024x768 screen I have rewritten the code to display preview and histogram images (speeded up
by 10%) ClipValues check box is disabled/enabled immediately after the plug-in gets a
chance to find out if there are some values greater than 3965 (after you open
Info or Preview window). Fixed the problem: Show Info -> Enable Interpolation Preview ->Show preview,
Info window was moved outside the screen.
- Version 1.1 - 10.5.2003
"Logaritmic interpolation" renamed to "Logarithmic interpolation"
Average interpolation was zoomed too much in interpolation preview
sometimes
- Version 1.0 - 29.4.2003
This was the first public version.
